DMZ Punch Bowl Dulle-gil (Trekking)

It is a basin located in Haean-myeon, Yanggu-gun, and was named by foreign journalists during the Korean War as it looked like a bowl of flower. This area is currently the only area in Korea where residents reside within the civilian access control line and has a geopolitical peculiarity.

It is a basin surrounded by Daewoosan Mt., Dosolsan Mt., Daeamsan Mt., and Rough-looking Peak, which are more than 1,100 meters above sea level, and forms the border to the north with the DMZ.

It is 11.95 km long from north to south and 6.6 km from east to west, with an area of 44.7 km2, which is almost the same size of Edinburgh, Scotland. On the Peace Forest course, the symbols of Military Demarcation Line such as bunkers, traffic trench, signboard to warn the North Korean barrier line, and iron fences reveal the political reality of the Republic of Korea, but the Wausan Mt. Birch Forest shows the beauty of preserved nature.
